What is important for movie cinema to make big hits in Japan

Usually, we hear "Why is Japanese cinema market so different from the other market?".

Especially, my American friends said Avengers series were not succeeded in Japan".

Certainly, some of the title includes Avengers succeeded but half of the works did not.

So, I researched and analyze the Japanese movie hit top 20 in 2019.

This is the American top 20. However, only 8 works in the top 20 ranked in Japanese top 20.
